Bay State Games announces 2013 HOF class

The Bay State Games announced its 2013 Hall of Fame Class today in a press release. Inductees Katy Haden, Rich Hill and Jack Sordillo will be honored at Fenway Park prior to the first pitch next Friday's Red Sox game.

Hayden served as Bay State Games International Skating Institute (ISI) Figure Skating Commissioner since the inception of the Winter Games in 1985 and played an important role in making Bay State Games Figure Skating one of the most respected state games skating competitions in the country.

While at Milton High School in the mid 90’s, Hill participated in the Bay State Summer Games baseball tournament as a member of the Southeast team where he pitched a no-hitter. He played at the University of Michigan and was a fourth round pick in the MLB draft for the Chicago Cubs in 2002. As a professional player, Hill has played for the Chicago Cubs, the Baltimore Orioles, the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians.

Sordillo has been a dedicated supporter of the Bay State Games for nearly three decades and served as a board member.
