Needham closes season as boys' lax No. 1

With the MIAA boys' lacrosse tournaments underway this week, we check in with one last regular-season Top 25 poll.

Needham continued its hold on the top spot, since ending No. 2 Duxbury's in-state winning streak. Lincoln-Sudbury, Longmeadow and St. John's (Shrewsbury) rounded out the Top 5 to end the season.

(Editor's note: The next poll update will come with the conclusion of the MIAA tournaments.)

The last two spots in the poll this week went to No. 24 Algonquin and No. 25 BC High. Both teams returned to the poll after an absence in the last several weeks, but will look to advance in the Division 2 Central and Div. 1 tournaments, respectively.

Also, making its first Top 25 showing of the season, Catholic Central champion Austin Prep checks in at No. 23.
