In our ongoing series chronicling uniform changes for high school football teams across Massachusetts, today we look at two Catholic Central League teams making some very modern upgrades.
First up is Cardinal Spellman, which is trading in its traditional garb for a very modern look, modeled below by senior tight end/safety Rory Donovan. Take note of the increase in yellow, specifically in the helmet (from white) and pants (from maroon), as well as the new number font, which is becoming more popular in the college ranks.

Meanwhile, upstart Pope John Paul II, entering its third year of varsity, has tweaked its home uniform from last season, going with a much smaller font on the chest insignia. Also note the new number font, which has a Michigan State feel to it. Did I mention we love these helmets too?
