This will be the second to last poll update for the 2013 season. Our final Top 25 poll will be updated following the conclusion of the MIAA State Championships.
A few notes and observations about this week's poll:
Attleboro makes leap: The Top 10 remains unchanged for the first time all season, but there's a bit of activity after that. While BC High drops three spots to No. 14 following its loss to Xaverian, Attleboro shoots eight spots up to No. 12, following its 19-12 upset of King Philip on Friday night. The Blue Bombardiers make the biggest move of any team in the poll this week; and with the No. 2 seed in Division 1 South, they are a dark horse in the state championship race.
Shepherd Hill makes its debut: Making its season debut in the poll is Shepherd Hill, which comes in at No. 24 following a 32-22 win over Holy Name. Their vaunted "double wing" scheme has them averaging nearly 27 points per game, including a 50-29 thrashing of Wachusett back on Oct. 11. Led by a dynamic junior class comprised of linemen Chris Lindstrom and Austin Jones, and quarterback Drew Jean-Guillame, the Rams are the top seed in Division 4 Central. After making it to Gillette Stadium a year ago in the D2 Central Super Bowl, the Rams could very well end up back in Foxborough.
Here's how the poll breaks down this week by division:
Div. 1 - 8
Div. 2 - 10
Div. 3 - 2
Div. 4 - 4
Div. 5 - 1
