Doherty's Noah Robinson commits to Memphis

Former Doherty High standout Noah Robinson has verbally committed to the University of Memphis, he said yesterday on his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Robinson did a post-graduate season this fall at Atlanta Sports Academy (Dawsonville, Ga.), alongside one of his former Doherty teammates, Abdullah Webster. In his senior season of 2012 at Doherty, Robinson registered 125 tackles and five sacks as the Highlanders reached the MIAA Division 2 Central semifinals.

Robinson also had varying degrees of interest from UConn, Temple and Rutgers.
