Lexington hosts Coaches vs. Cancer event

The Lexington High School boys' and girls' basketball programs will be sponsoring a fundraiser Tuesday night to benefit cancer research at Children’s Hospital in Boston.

During the girls' (5:30 tip) and boys' (7:00 tip) varsity basketball games against Wakefield High School, both schools will team up to raise money for research. Coaching staffs from all four teams will wear sneakers with their traditional coaching attire to raise cancer awareness. All teams will wear pink or teal warm ups to show their support. Proceeds from tickets, concession stand sales, and a 50-50 raffle will benefit Children’s Hospital in Boston in their fight against cancer.
