Fisher steps down at Rivers

Rich Fisher confirmed this afternoon to ESPNBoston.com that he resigned yesterday morning as head coach of the Rivers School.

Fisher oversaw a remarkable turnaround at the Weston campus, as the Red Wings went 12-5 in his two years there. This past season, they went 8-0 in the ISL and lost to Pingree on a last-second blocked field goal return in a NEPSAC Bowl game at Gillette Stadium.

This marks the second resignation of an ISL head coach in less than a week. Last Friday, Mike Taylor stepped down after three seasons at Lawrence Academy.
