Deerfield, Duxbury among nation's best

Two Massachusetts boys' lacrosse teams finished the season in LaxPower's National Top 25 for 2011.

Western New England Boys' Lacrosse Division 1 champion Deerfield Academy broke the Top 10 at No. 9, after finishing another perfect season at 15-0. Meanwhile, MIAA Division 1 state champion Duxbury rang in at No. 24, posting a 19-3 record.

Deerfield and Duxbury were ranked ninth and 24th, respectively, in the preseason polls, so both teams played true to their billing.

Connecticut power Darien (19-3) finished ranked 20th in the poll while Independent School League champion The Governor's Academy (16-0) fell just outside the Top 25 at No. 26.
