Brewster Academy (N.H.) forward Mitch McGary, the nation's No. 2 overall player, just announced moments ago on ESPNU's "Recruiting Nation" show that he is verbally committing to the University of Michigan for the 2012-13 season.
The Chesterton, Ind. native chose the Wolverines over Duke and Florida.
"I felt most comfortable being there and I trusted the coaches [more] than any other staff," McGary told the show's host Justin Kutcher. "I can talk to them about anything. They're a program that's on the rise again, and I feel I can build the program up and make an impact there."
Asked if by Kutcher if he will sign his National Letter of Intent when the early signing period begins next Wednesday, McGary said, "I'm not sure at the moment. I have to talk with my parents, I'd like them to be there when I sign, so I'm not sure right now if I'll sign next week."
