Kraft supports permanent NFL team in London

LONDON -- With the New England Patriots facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Wembley Stadium, the idea of a permanent NFL team in London has been a topic of discussion.

"I really believe it would be the right thing to do sometime in the next decade, to have a franchise here," Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Friday.

Kraft noted the NFL's "great support" in London and Germany.

In the more immediate future, Kraft said there would be more opportunity for games in London if the NFL expands its regular season from 16 to 18 games.
