The Patriots fan who brought energy to Gillette Stadium Sunday by mimicking Randy Moss's touchdown celebration on the scoreboard video screen is 12 years old, Christopher Price of WEEI.com discovered. Price takes things to the next level by introducing his readers to Josiah Shumaker of New London, Connecticut.
Shumaker was attending his first Patriots game Sunday and bought the Moss mask at the team's Pro Shop before entering the stadium.
Cameras spotted him after Moss's second and third touchdown, the latter of which came at the start of the fourth quarter. When his image appeared on the video screen, Shumaker mimicked Moss's celebration, which had Moss laughing on the sideline. Soon enough, the stadium erupted in cheers.
