Receiver Taylor Price, who the Patriots selected in the third round of the NFL Draft (90th overall), has agreed to a contract with the team, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Price, who played at Ohio, becomes the highest draft choice from any NFL team to agree to terms.
Because Ohio has yet to hold its graduation, Price can not join the Patriots for workouts per NFL rules. But while Price will be missing out on voluntary organized team activities through June 11, he will at least have the business-based aspect of his contract completed.
Price is the second of 12 Patriots draft choices to agree to a contract, joining center Ted Larsen (sixth round).
