In the fifth and final installment of ESPNBoston.com's Patriots 53-man roster projections, one of the main thoughts that came to mind is that the team's young offensive linemen represent a tough decision.
The Patriots drafted center Ted Larsen in the sixth round, and traded two seventh-round picks to move up to the top of the seventh round to select tackle Thomas Welch.
Both are a ways off from helping the team in 2010. But both could be a significant part of the plans in 2011.
With this in mind, I kept both players on my final 53-man roster projection, electing not to run the risk of having them clear waivers. Mike Rodak, on the other hand, did not put them on the roster, figuring they could land on the practice squad if they clear waivers.
These types of decisions are some of the toughest that teams will be making today.
