Late hit on Brady costs Woodley $12,500

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Steelers outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley was fined $12,500 for his late hit on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in last Sunday's game, according to a league spokesman.

Woodley rocked Brady from the blindside in the fourth quarter after Brady had delivered a 25-yard touchdown pass to tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Steelers had struggled to get to Brady all day and Woodley's hit looked to be an act of frustration.

Elsewhere, Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis was fined $5,000 for a first-quarter chop block in the game, according to a league spokesman.

Also, there was no fine for the hit that knocked Steelers receiver Hines Ward out of the game. Ward had been publicly campaigning for a fine.
