Bill Belichick, Paul Brown & a fedora

As fans watching the CBS broadcast of the Patriots-Colts game Sunday saw, Patriots coach Bill Belichick showed his appreciation for one of his idols last week in Pittsburgh.

CBS showed a clip of Belichick arriving at Heinz Field wearing a fedora (posted here on NFL.com), which was a tip of the fedora to Paul Brown.

Later that night, the Patriots defeated the Steelers to pull Belichick into a tie with Brown for 12th on the all-time coaching wins list. With Sunday's win over the Colts, Belichick moves past Brown into 11th place.

Asked about the hat later on Monday, Belichick said: "Just trying to stay warm."
