FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Defensive lineman Mike Wright, who leads the Patriots with 5.5 sacks, could miss Thursday's game against the Lions because of a concussion.
Wright sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Colts on a 3-yard pass from Peyton Manning to Javarris James.
The injury was initially announced to Wright's neck. The team's participation report Monday indicated he had a concussion.
Had the Patriots held a regular practice Monday, Wright would not have been part of the workout, according to the team's official participation report.
If Wright does not play Thursday and defensive lineman Myron Pryor (back) also remains out, the Patriots would be without their top two interior pass rushers in sub packages. Veteran Gerard Warren is a top candidate to step in, while rookie free agent Kyle Love also would move up the depth chart.
