Contact for Connolly; Vollmer not spotted

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Guard Dan Connolly, who missed the final two games of the regular season with a concussion, was cleared for contact on Thursday, shedding the red, no-contact jersey he wore for practice on Wednesday. Running back Danny Woodhead (head) and center Dan Koppen (unknown) remained in their non-contact jerseys on Thursday.

Meanwhile, offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer was not spotted during the media access portion of Thursday's practice. Vollmer started all 16 games this season at right tackle.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez (hip), outside linebackers Jermaine Cunningham (calf) and Eric Moore (unknown), as well as defensive lineman Mike Wright (concussion) were all not seen for the workout, which was held in full pads on the lower practice field behind Gillette Stadium.

With a bye weekend coming up, the Patriots do not have to release an injury report this week, so the injury situations of these players will not be known until next Wednesday's injury report is released.
