Snow doubt about it, Pats work outside

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots are practicing today for the first time since learning that they would face the New York Jets in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs.

Tight end Alge Crumpler didn't have to look at the schedule to know that the team would be practicing outside. Even with significant snow in the forecast in the next 24 hours, Crumpler figures the team will be outdoors.

That's the way the Patriots roll.

"Our bubble is just for naming rights," Crumpler said this morning, drawing laughter from media members.

The Patriots have had a few practices inside the Dana-Farber Fieldhouse this year, but coach Bill Belichick's general philosophy is that the team gains valuable experience from practicing in the elements it might experience on game day.
