The Patriots will have a new head strength and conditioning coach for the first time in Bill Belichick's 12-year tenure as coach, as Mike Woicik has finalized a deal to join the Cowboys, ESPNDallas reports.
Woicik had been with the Patriots since 2000, Belichick's first year as coach. He is considered one of the best in the business, and has six Super Bowl rings (three with Dallas, three with New England).
Woicik's contract expired after the 2010 season, according to sources, opening the possibility for him to land elsewhere.
If the Patriots stay in-house, Harold Nash would be the natural choice to replace Woicik. Nash has served as Woicik's assistant since 2005.
