Belichick takes in Florida Pro Day

Bill Belichick's role as a "scout" was highlighted in an ESPNBoston.com piece on Monday, and it's no surprise that he's spending today at Florida's Pro Day (according to Rachel George of the Orlando Sentinel).

Belichick has been touring Florida on his annual scouting trip.

Last year, the Patriots drafted three Gators -- outside linebacker Jermaine Cunningham, inside linebacker Brandon Spikes and tight end Aaron Hernandez.

This year's Florida prospects are nicely broken down by Gainesville Sun sports editor Jeff Barlis, who leads off with a prospect who plays in a spot the Patriots could be targeting -- interior offensive line. The Gainesville Sun also has a photo gallery from the Pro Day, which includes shots of Belichick.
