Patriots owner Robert Kraft is scheduled to be present at today's mediation talks with players, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.
Aiello said Kraft will be joined by Clark Hunt (Chiefs), Jerry Richardson (Panthers) and Art Rooney (Steelers) on the ownership side, along with commissioner Roger Goodell and lead counsel Jeff Pash.
Kraft was not present for the final weeks of talks before the NFLPA filed paperwork to decertify, as he was on a pre-scheduled business trip to Israel with Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick. That disappointed player reps such as Patriots left tackle Matt Light, who felt the players had people in the negotiating room that could strike a deal while the owners didn't.
Kraft is viewed as one of the more influential owners in the league, as he sits on the Management Council Executive Committee.
