On Tuesday, April 26, Patriots left tackle Matt Light is co-hosting a "Lockout Breakfast" at the Liberty Hotel in Boston along with Sports Illustrated's Peter King. The duo will be joined by Patriots Logan Mankins and Vince Wilfork, as well as former New England offensive lineman Russ Hochstein.
The opening pancake flip is scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
"I'm really hoping folks will join me and our great panel of experts for this event ... to share a unique perspective on how the lockout is affecting the players, both the veterans and the rookies," Light said of the breakfast, which is sponsored by Sullivan & Worcester, LLP.
"Logan, who is one of the plaintiffs in the antitrust suit against the NFL, and Vince, who's always been a leader in the locker room, will be able to speak to the current state of the CBA and what the future of football looks like at this point in time."
There will also be draft talk with King, and a Patriots focus as well (I'm scheduled to chip in on that part).
"In the end, it's all for a great cause," Light said. "The funds raised here will help us fund programs through the Light Foundation for at-risk kids from around the country who really need the leadership training, mentoring and experiences we provide that really make a difference in their lives."
