If there is one theme to follow from a New England perspective in the 2011 NFL draft, it's how many trades Bill Belichick will make. It would be an upset if he makes all nine of the team's picks in their original positions.
Belichick will likely attempt to push a pick or two into future years, while hitting the sweet spots in certain areas that represent value to him. Early on, that value projects to be on the defensive and offensive lines.
The other factor to watch is with the quarterbacks. The quicker they go off the board, the better that is for a team like the Patriots, which figures to be willing to deal to a QB-needy team.
All that said, here's my best guess at how tonight's first round will go (8 p.m. on ESPN). What do you think? Tell me where you think I'm off and give us your predictions in the comments section.
