ESPN football analyst Tedy Bruschi is in the middle of a 7-day, 19,000-foot climb up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. He had chronicled the first part of his journey for ESPNBoston.com and will check in again once he reaches the summit.
For now, though, he’s in a media blackout, mostly to focus on the challenge ahead but at least partly because it’s just not easy to get in touch with the rest of the world when you’re more than 2/3rds of the way up one of the planet’s tallest mountains.
We are happy to report though that the group he’s climbing with -- former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, former Eagles tight end Chad Lewis and four injured military service members -- are approaching the 16,500-foot mark and is still on the move. The above photo was taken of the group on Monday.
You can also follow the progress of the group on the Wounded Warrior Project site.
