Each Sunday night, NFL Network has been running its "Top 100" ranking of players, as voted on by players themselves. Last night was players 51-60 and the Patriots were not represented.
To this point, the lone Patriot in the rankings has been linebacker Jerod Mayo at No. 62.
This means there will be four Patriots in the top 50 (as announced by NFL Network), with the top candidates Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork, Logan Mankins, Wes Welker and Devin McCourty. Rookies have been challenged to make the cut, so McCourty is expected to be the one Patriot left off the list.
EXTRA POINT: Receiver Julian Edelman is scheduled to be on NFL Network's "Total Access" program tonight (7 p.m.).
