This morning's "cleaning out the notebook" post sparked some debate in the comments section about the best veteran free-agent signing in Bill Belichick's tenure (2000-present).
One could make a case for outside linebacker Mike Vrabel (2001-2008). Others pointed to safety Rodney Harrison (2003-2008).
When considering other possibilities, players like running back Antowain Smith (2001-2003), receiver David Patten (2001-2004), linebacker Larry Izzo (2001-2008) and linebacker Roman Phifer (2001-2004) came to mind.
Yet in the end, Vrabel and Harrison were a cut above from this perspective.
So let's see how it plays out in the court of public opinion in the poll accompanying this update.
