With quite a few moving parts, things are fluid when it comes to the schedule for NFL teams ahead. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter presented a timeline this morning that will go into effect if approved by the NFLPA:
Monday, July 25 -- Teams can sign their free agents. Teams can begin talking to unrestricted free agents. Teams can sign unrestricted free agents tomorrow at noon.
Monday, July 25 -- Teams can begin talking trades. Any trade made would not become official until Saturday.
Tuesday, July 26 -- Teams can begin signing unrestricted free agents at noon. Those contracts would not take effect until Aug. 2.
Wednesday, July 27 -- Ten of the NFL's 32 teams will report to their facilities.
Thursday, July 28 -- Ten of the NFL's 32 teams will report to their facilities.
Friday, July 29 -- Ten of the NFL's 32 teams will report to their facilities.
Sunday, July 31 -- Jets and Texans become the final two teams to report to their facilities.
Tuesday, Aug. 2 -- The 2011 league year officially begins (4 p.m.).
