What to expect from coverage today

Tuesday marks the fifth day of open-to-the-public Patriots training camp practices, and here is what can be expected in this space:

I'll be joined by Mike Rodak and we plan to fill the blog with sights and sounds. We will post observations after practice, highlighting some of the different things that catch our eye. The day doesn't really get going until after lunch.

Here is the schedule:

1 p.m. -- Bill Belichick news conference

1:30-4:30 p.m. -- Practice

4:30 p.m. -- Various player interviews

I will be active on Twitter (@MikeReiss), although not during each practice. The Patriots ask reporters for their cooperation in the following areas:

1. Not reporting on offensive or defensive strategy, which includes formations, personnel groups or non-conventional plays.

2. No quoting players or coaches during a practice.

3. Not reporting on practice until the session is over.

At the end of the day, we'll have a wrap-up of all the highlights in a video package.

The weekly Patriots mailbag, which has a heavy emphasis on the defense, is scheduled to be posted by noon.
