FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Starting right cornerback Leigh Bodden played just seven snaps last Thursday in Tampa and has missed the last two practices with an undisclosed injury.
But based on Bill Belichick's comments Tuesday, Bodden's status doesn't seem to a major issue for the Patriots. Asked about Bodden's training camp performance since coming back from a torn rotator cuff that cost him all of the 2010 season, Belichick noted his health.
"Leigh has had a good camp," Belichick said. "He's played both inside and outside. It looks like he's healthy. When he's had a chance to participate, he's taken a lot of snaps, and it looks like he's done fine."
The Patriots have had some moving parts at cornerback this week, with Bodden not on the field and rookie Ras-I Dowling returning for the first time in three weeks on Monday.
Devin McCourty, Kyle Arrington, Darius Butler and Jonathan Wilhite have been the constants at the position.
