Power rankings: Patriots second in Week 2

The New England Patriots held firm at No. 2 in this week's ESPN.com NFL power rankings.

Writes ESPN's John Clayton on New England: "League MVP Tom Brady couldn't have gotten off to a better start than his dissection of Miami."

Four of the five blogger panelists had the Green Bay Packers ahead of New England entering Week 2, with only AFC East blogger James Walker voting the Patriots for the top spot. Hop HERE to see how the panel voted; Jump HERE to see the full power rankings.

New England is the top-ranked squad in the AFC, while the Ravens (4) and Jets (5) are close behind.

The Patriots ended last year's regular season ranked No. 1 in the power rankings before bowing out in their first playoff game against the Jets. The Packers earned the top spot when rankings resumed this offseason and are still fending off New England.
