Recapping Patriots injuries

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- At one point in the Patriots' 35-21 win over the Chargers, it seemed like there was an injury every play.

Here is a look at Patriots players who left the game with injuries, with a quick-hit thought:

Kyle Arrington -- Cornerback is shaken up on the Chargers' final drive after making a hard tackle on the sideline. He spoke with reporters after the game and appeared to be OK.

Patrick Chung -- Safety leaves the game with 8:45 to play in the third quarter on a Ryan Mathews 3-yard run, and returns with 11:41 left in the fourth quarter with a cast over his injured hand.

Ras-I Dowling -- Rookie cornerback injures his thigh with 1:42 remaining in the second quarter and doesn't return.

Albert Haynesworth -- Defensive lineman is helped off the field with 2:21 remaining in the third quarter with what appeared to be cramping. He returns later in the game.

Aaron Hernandez -- Tight end leaves with a knee injury with 11:41 remaining in the fourth quarter and doesn't return. He is present in the locker room after the game and speaks with reporters, which is usually a positive sign from an injury perspective that it isn't anything too serious. Hernandez said he was sore.

James Ihedigbo -- Safety requires medical attention on the field with 1:49 remaining in the third quarter, but returns to action after missing one play.

Zoltan Mesko (left knee) -- Punter leaves the game late in the third quarter and doesn't punt again. He does return to serve as a holder on an extra-point.
