Power Rankings: Pats stand firm at No. 2

The New England Patriots remain at No. 2 in this week's ESPN.com NFL power rankings.

Writes ESPN's John Clayton on New England: "Tom Brady is on pace for a 7,500-yard season, but he'll likely only get to 5,000." Even still, 5,000 would put him in the hunt to break Dan Marino's NFL record (5,084 yards in 1984). Brady's career best was 4,806 yards during the 2007 campaign.

Three of the five blogger panelists had the Green Bay Packers ahead of New England entering Week 2, with AFC East blogger James Walker and NFC West blogger Mike Sando voting the Patriots for the top spot. Hop HERE to see how the panel voted; Jump HERE to see the full power rankings.

New England is the top-ranked squad in the AFC, while the rival Jets (3) are on their heels.
