Dowling inactive for the Patriots

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Rookie cornerback Ras-I Dowling, limited this week by a hip injury sustained in last week's win over the San Diego Chargers, is the seventh and final inactive for the Patriots.

Dowling was out on the gamefield early Sunday working with the training staff, but didn't look comfortable going through running drills. His absence could mean increased game action for the likes of corners Antwaun Molden and Phillip Adams. Devin McCourty and Leigh Bodden project as the starting corners against the Bills; Kyle Arrington is active, too, after suffering a concussion last week.

Safety Patrick Chung (right thumb), defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth (back) and Mike Wright (concussion), receiver Taylor Price (hamstring), offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer (back), and tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee) were previously ruled out for New England.

Here are the inactives for the Bills: CB Terrence McGee, DB Justin Rogers, LB Kirk Morrison, G Kraig Urbik, RT Sam Young, TE Lee Smith, NT Torell Troup.
