Penalty watch: Gronk takes lead

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the second straight week, the Patriots have limited their penalties. They were penalized six times last Sunday against the Jets, four of which came in the first quarter.

Still, the Patriots rank tied for ninth as the league's most penaltied team (only accepted penalties).

Tight end Rob Gronkowski's facemask penalty Sunday was his fourth flag of the season, which moved him into the team lead. Part of that is based on playing time, as Gronkowski plays most of the offensive snaps, so he's more likely to have a higher total.
