FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In the seemingly daily game of roster roulette, the Patriots have filled the final spot on their 53-man roster by re-signing safety Ross Ventrone, while filling the final spot on their eight-man practice squad by bringing back cornerback Sterling Moore.
The Ventrone move is interesting in the sense that the team released him from the active roster Monday, only to bring him back two days later. Ventrone has played in three games this season, primarily on special teams.
Moore, who was promoted from the practice squad Saturday and played on the punt return team, now returns to the practice squad.
