Steelers' Ward, Farrior out

Receiver Hines Ward and linebacker James Farrior will not play for the Steelers in today's game against the Patriots because of injuries, according to the team (via multiple media reports).

Ward is second on the team with 26 receptions, and is averaging 9.9 yards per catch. He's scored two touchdowns on the season.

While Ward's absence is a blow, the Steelers are deep at receiver with Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery on the depth chart.

Meanwhile, Farrior has started all seven games this season at left inside linebacker. His 50 tackles lead the team, and he's added two sacks.
