Every week leading up to the Patriots' game, Tedy Bruschi and Mike Reiss analyze the matchup in "Bruschi's Breakdown." This week's piece has been posted, and Bruschi sees a tough matchup for his former team.
Bruschi has been impressed with Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
"He's had a great year. He's playing phenomenal football," he says. "He's making good decisions with the football. He's not turning it over and that has been a problem for him in the past. He's playing at a high level coming into this game, and that's bad news for the Patriots, who are struggling to find some answers on defense. If I'm Eli Manning, I am licking my chops after seeing the Steelers' film in Sunday's 25-17 win over the Patriots. There are a lot of holes in that defense, and he has a lot of weapons."
Bruschi also details how the Giants generate pressure.
"Overall, this is basically what it comes down to: 'Here come the rushers.' They're going to come after Tom Brady, and they have the players to do it."
