Mark L. Baer/US Presswire

Devin McCourty is still fighting through early season struggles in his sophomore campaign.

A look at how New England cornerbacks have fared when targeted by opposing quarterbacks this season (all data courtesy of analytical site Pro Football Focus). A few quick notes:

* Devin McCourty is the third most targeted cornerback in the NFL, behind only New Orlean's Jabari Greer (59) and Detroit's Chris Houston (51). McCourty, however, has allowed the most receptions (40) in the NFL.

* McCourty is also tops in yards allowed. Only Arizona's A.J. Jefferson is even close (39 receptions, 503 yards), while the next nearest player is Washington's DeAngelo Hall at 429 yards allowed.
