Positional groupings: TEs get time

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- A look at the positional groupings utilized by the Patriots' in their 24-20 loss to the Giants:

2 WR/2 TE/1 RB -- 54 of 78

3 WR/1 TE/1 RB -- 8 of 78

1 WR/3 TE/1 RB -- 8 of 78

3 WR/2 TE -- 5 of 78

3 TE/1 FB/1 RB --2 of 78

1 WR/2 TE/1 FB/1 RB -- 1 of 78

ANALYSIS: The Patriots continued to favor a multiple-TE package, with the wrinkle this week coming with varied personnel within it. Offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien used a lot of "heavy" looks out of that with offensive tackle Nate Solder one of the tight ends. Receiver Chad Ochocinco was integrated more into those 2 WR snaps as well. The hurry-up attack was used with receivers Deion Branch/Wes Welker and tight ends Rob Gronkowski/Aaron Hernandez.
