Quick hits from locker room

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Some quick-hit thoughts from the media-access period in the locker room:

1. Quiet day in the locker room. Players drawing large media crowds included defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, running back Stevan Ridley, and safety James Ihedigbo.

2. Offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, who missed Wednesday's practice with a concussion, was in the locker room, while linebackers Brandon Spikes and Dane Fletcher, and safety Patrick Chung, all of whom also missed practice on Wednesday, were not spotted.

3. While Albert Haynesworth's locker contents and nameplate were quickly cleaned out on Wednesday to make way for linebacker Niko Koutouvides, the locker nameplates of tight end Dan Gronkowski, cornerback Malcolm Williams, and offensive lineman Thomas Welch were still intact on Thursday. With the roster shuffling frequently over recent weeks, it's possible these players could return to the team in the future.

4. It appears players will practice in full pads and outside in the rain this afternoon.
