Hernandez, Green-Ellis out; Chung returns

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots were without tight end Aaron Hernandez and running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis for Wednesday's practice. Neither player was on last week's injury report, and both finished Sunday's game in Denver without any noticeable injury.

Wednesday's injury report, to be released at 4 p.m., will shed more light on both players' status.

Meanwhile, safety Patrick Chung returned to the practice field after missing all of last week's practices. Chung was in light shoulder pads, along with the rest of his teammates, who practiced in the team's fieldhouse due to rainy conditions.

Safety Vincent Fuller, who was officially signed on Wednesday, was present at practice, wearing No. 26.

Offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back/foot) was not spotted at practice, after also missing the team's Tuesday walkthrough. This will likely mark Vollmer's fourth straight week out of action.
