INDIANAPOLIS -- A look at what's ahead today for the Patriots:

Back to practice, with a pool report. After practicing in full pads on Monday and then taking Tuesday off, the team returns to the field today. Alex Marvez of Foxsports.com will serve as the AFC pool reporter and he will chronicle the happenings at practice before the NFL disseminates that information.

Morning media access. Patriots coach Bill Belichick will hold an 8 a.m. news conference at the team's hotel, the University Place Conference Center & Hotel. Quarterback Tom Brady steps in at 8:15 a.m., while players will be available at 8:30 a.m. Players assigned podiums in the media tent are safety Patrick Chung, running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, guard Logan Mankins, linebacker Jerod Mayo, receiver Wes Welker and defensive lineman Vince Wilfork.

Storylines to monitor. Does tight end Rob Gronkowski practice? ... Illness kept offensive linemen Matt Light and Sebastian Vollmer away from Media Day, so this is a chance to check on their progress. ... Do the Patriots go indoors for a fourth straight practice?
