Schefter: Stallworth to Pats

The Patriots have agreed to terms with receiver Donte Stallworth on a one-year contract, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports.

This will be Stallworth's second stint with the Patriots, after having played in New England in 2007. He had 46 receptions for 697 yards and three touchdowns that season.

Stallworth tweeted today, "This time around, things will be different...."

The 31-year-old Stallworth has since played for the Browns (2008), Ravens (2010) and Redskins (2011). He missed the 2009 season when he was suspended without pay for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and its substance abuse policy.

Stallworth is the seventh player from another team that the Patriots have signed or agreed to terms with on a new contract. Last year with the Redskins, Stallworth had 22 receptions for 309 yards and

Deion Branch is a free agent, and with Ochocinco set to earn $3 million, the addition of Stallworth could affect his standing.
