Welker, McGinest go back and forth

Early this morning, Willie McGinest critical comments about Wes Welker's approach with his contract were relayed here.

Word got back to Welker, who fired back on Twitter today via Twitter:

"@williemcginest why did u ever leave the Pats and play for the Browns?"

A short time later, McGinest tweeted a reply:

"@WesWelker My point exactly. We're all expendable at Patriot Place"

McGinest did indeed leave the Patriots for the Browns as a free agent in 2006, cashing in on a three-year contract the club wasn't willing to match. He also had expressed disappointment that the Patriots would give out No. 55 (to Junior Seau) so quickly (link here).
