Last week, Tom Brady Sr., the father of the current Patriots quarterback, told Yahoo Sports' Mike Silver that he would be "very hesitant" to allow his son to play football if he faced the decision again.
Brady responded to his father's comments yesterday in an interview with Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet New England.
"Everybody has a different take," Brady told Curran. "My dad is always happy to share his opinion with anybody that will ask, often contrary to my own beliefs."
While noting that parents are always concerned about the health of their children, Brady said that he feels fortunate to have the job that playing football has afforded him.
"The lessons far outweigh anything I've experienced in terms of injuries," Brady told Curran.
