Rundown from Thursday's OTA

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots held their sixth organized team activity of offseason on Thursday, the second such session open to the media.

Here’s the rundown of the schedule for Thursday’s roughly 90-minute practice, held on the practice fields of Gillette Stadium on a picturesque late spring day:

10:45 a.m.: Team stretching and warm-ups.

10:53 a.m.: Continued warm-ups, with the offense and defense split up and broken into position groups.

11:05 a.m.: Individual positions drills (i.e. quarterbacks throwing short-distance routes, offensive linemen working with running backs on interior runs).

11:10 a.m.: Offense works as a whole on running game, defense split up into two groups: linebackers and defensive linemen working on run fits, while secondary focusing on route recognition.

11:20 a.m.: Special teams period one, with today’s focus being on kickoff return.

11:25 a.m.: The offensive skill players worked passing routes on air, while the defense focused on pattern reads with the linebackers and secondary. The offensive and defensive line worked separately with their respective coaches.

11:33 a.m.: 7 on 7 for the offensive and defensive skill players, for roughly 10 plays. The offensive and defensive line worked separately with their respective coaches.

11:40 a.m.: Special teams period two, with a continued focus on kickoff return.

11:45 a.m.: The offensive skill periods worked passing routes on air, while the defense focused on pattern reads with the linebackers and secondary. The offensive and defensive line worked separately with their respective coaches.

11:55 a.m.: 7 on 7 for the offensive and defensive skill players, for roughly 7 plays. The offensive and defensive line worked separately with their respective coaches.

12:00 p.m.: Team period, with the offense and defense squaring off for roughly 12 plays.

The media access portion of practice concluded around 12:10 p.m.
