Reports: Bequette agrees to terms

The New England Patriots and third-round pick defensive end Jake Bequette have agreed to a four-year deal, according to multiple reports.

Bequette (6-5, 274), the 90th overall selection, becomes the sixth of seven Patriots rookies to ink their contracts, leaving only linebacker Dont'a Hightower, the team’s second selection in the first round, unsigned.

The 23-year-old Bequette finished his college career at Arkansas with 23.5 sacks, including 10 in his senior season, during which he was named an All-SEC performer.

Bequette was considered by many draft experts to be a polished prospect who can contribute from an early stage as a rookie.

The agreement was first reported by Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.
