The Patriots have released veteran defensive lineman Tim Bulman, according to a league source.
Bulman, a Milton, Mass. native and Boston College graduate who spent the first five seasons of his career with the Cardinals and Texans, was signed by the team prior to the start of training camp.
The 29-year old finished with four tackles in two preseason games, and was a long-shot to make the 53-man roster.
The Patriots must reduce their roster to 75 players by Monday at 4 p.m.
