In a recent feature on ESPN.com, AFC East blogger James Walker selected his midseason all-division team, made up of members of the Patriots, Jets, Bills and Dolphins.
Sitting atop the division at 5-3, it's no surprise that the Patriots lead the way with nine players on Walker's "All-Star" team, including six offensive players.
Quarterback Tom Brady was joined by two of his offensive linemen, right guard Dan Connolly and right tackle Sebastian Vollmer, as well as receiver Wes Welker, tight end Rob Gronkowski, and running back Stevan Ridley. Brady leads all AFC East quarterbacks with 2,408 passing yards, Ridley leads all AFC East running backs with 716 rushing yards, Welker leads all AFC East receivers with 736 receiving yards, and Gronkowski leads the entire division with 7 touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, both Chandler Jones and Vince Wilfork were selected to the defensive line (note: Walker used a 4-3 defense as his base), and Jerod Mayo was picked as one of three linebackers.
The team featured seven players from the Dolphins and four players apiece from the Jets and Bills.
