Mankins, Connolly both leave with injuries

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots starting guards Dan Connolly and Logan Mankins both left Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills with injuries.

Connolly was replaced by Donald Thomas at right guard late in the first half. He is questionable to return with a back injury.

On a third-down play early in the third quarter, Mankins was slow to get up and limped to the sideline with the assistance of medical staff. Mankins had his left ankle taped on the bench and was replaced by Nick McDonald at left guard. The team confirmed the injury was to Mankins' ankle; his return is questionable.

Mankins had missed the previous two games with hip and calf injuries.
